BEVERLY, Mass. - Over the summer, one of the oldest buildings on the Endicott campus undertook a major change.
A Welcome Center for the Office of Admissions was added to the administrative building. This remodel on the first floor of the building added some much needed spaces for the building.
The centerpiece of the space is the Great Room, a presentation space with 150 seats for prospective students and their families. There is a new coffee bar, restrooms, and meeting rooms in the space as well.
This renovation allows the Office of Admissions to hold all tours out of College Hall. Prior to this space, Hempstead Commons and the Cleary Lecture Hall were needed to accommodate larger groups. Now, large groups and weekend tours start and end at College Hall just like the smaller group always have.
On Homecoming weekend, the space was open for everyone on campus to check out. There was a high alumni and student turnout, with many excited to see the new changes to a building that has been a part of the college for decades.
The official ribbon cutting and grand opening for the Welcome Center will take place from 4:00-5:00 pm on Thursday, October 16.
